Crédit Mutuel and CIC actively apply a social and cooperative responsibility approach that underscores their commitment to helping French citizens at this time, in line with the recommendations of the public authorities.
More than 1.1 million policyholders will benefit from this social support measure in 2021 – including more than 770,000 subscribers of individual top-up health insurance. This represents an average annual saving of €33 per insured for this cover.
For Nicolas Théry, Chairman of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale, “The health cover rate freeze is another illustration of the cooperative support that Assurances du Crédit Mutuel and CIC Assurances provide. This measure will have a direct impact for both individual policyholders and businesses, retailers and professionals with group policies.”
“For 50 years, Crédit Mutuel and ACM have demonstrated on a daily basis that a bank owned by its customers changes everything, including insurance,” commented Daniel Baal, Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale and member of the Assurances du Crédit Mutuel executive board.
“At a time when every act of solidarity counts, we want to ensure that no policyholder has to reduce their health coverage or that of their family. This new decision is part of a package of similar measures taken since the start of the health crisis, including support for healthcare professionals, cooperative recovery payments for professionals, microenterprises and SMEs, and keeping interest rates unchanged on euro-denominated funds of life insurance policies,” added Pierre Reichert, Chairman of the executive board of Assurances du Crédit Mutuel.
